Linear Dimensions Spec Table
Linear Dimensions KS Specifications — 7 sizes
KS B ISO 2768-1
General tolerance table for linear dimensions (length, width, height) per ISO 2768-1, applied when no individual tolerance is specified on drawings.
Practical Notes
- Always state general tolerance grade on drawings. Without it, each shop applies different standards.
- Medium (m) is standard for general machining. Fine (f) for precision parts; coarse (c) for castings and sheet metal.

Key Features
- KS B ISO 2768-1; grades f (fine), m (medium), c (coarse), v (very coarse) in 4 levels
- Applied collectively to dimensions without individual tolerances; grade specified in drawing notes
- Tolerance table by nominal size range 0.5–4000 mm; 2–3× deviation difference between grades
Key Applications
General machined part dimensions, welded structures, post-cast machining, sheet metal bending, non-functional surface machining
FAQ
Difference between f, m, c, v grades?
f (fine)→precision machining, m (medium)→general machining (standard), c (coarse)→castings/sheet metal, v (very coarse)→rough work. Default is m if unspecified.
