Spring Washer Spec Table
A spring-action washer that resists vibration loosening, widely used in general mechanical assembly.
Practical Notes
- Junker vibration tests show minimal anti-loosening effect. For severe vibration, use Nord-Lock washers or nylon lock nuts.
- On hardened surfaces (HRC 40+), spring washers flatten and lose effectiveness. Only effective on soft mating surfaces.
Selection Guide
Traditional anti-loosening washer, but Junker vibration tests have shown minimal effectiveness. Acceptable for light loads and low vibration. For severe vibration, Nord-Lock washers, nylon lock nuts, or thread-locking adhesive are more effective.
